Looking for intern with passion for travel, culture and heritage to co-curate a neighbourhood guide in captivating Yau Ma Tei.

iDiscover is a socially responsible travel app with community curated neighbourhood guides. iDiscover is about the spirit of a place. We work with locals who show us their favourite places and tell us their stories. We put them in a handy map and savvy app to create honest and authentic walking routes in Asia’s most captivating neighbourhoods. More than just a travel experience, by using this app you’re actually giving back to local businesses and communities.

iDiscover is the passion project of Urban Discovery, a Hong Kong based social enterprise that works with developers, governments and NGO’s throughout Asia to better capitalise on their heritage assets

About the project:

iDiscover is working on a new neighbourhood guide in captivating Yau Ma Tei. 

We look for:

An intern to work hand in hand with the iDiscover team to develop this new route from beginning to end: desk & archival research . on-site interviews . content writing and editing . photography. audio (visual) recording . blog writing . CMS management . testing . organising neighbourhood event 

About you: 

We look for students who share our passion for heritage and culture in Asian cities. We expect that your skill set can contribute to written and audio (visual) documentation of stories and places in local neighbourhoods in Hong Kong. But perhaps most importantly we're looking for free spirited constructive thinkers with a love for exploring other cultures. 

We offer:

A small young dynamic Dutch/Chinese team . opportunity to deliver a completed product . get to to know one of Asia's most enigmatic cities from the inside out . introduction into heritage management in an international perspective 


Preferably 6 months, timing is flexible. We provide an allowance of HK$ 3,000 per month.
